From idea to working system

I’m Lexous Jellico Marc R. Español, a System Developer and Full-Stack Web Developer based in Baguio City, Philippines. I bring development and UI/UX design together to make digital tools useful and easy to navigate.

My experience spans system development and analysis, database management, and system integration, with projects including BCCC EASE, the ASENSO business platform, RIKUS IMPACT’s sustainability tools, and RFID-powered fare collection. I enjoy figuring out how the pieces connect, testing until they hold, troubleshooting what doesn’t, and using AI-powered tools to work smarter.

Learning

Crate digging. Every record in here taught me something. Some opened doors, some put me in front of a room, and all of them still play in how I build. Pull one out.

Process

How an idea becomes a working system. Three singles, side B.

Step 01 · Discover

Listen to the workflow first

Before the first screen, I map how people actually work: the bookings, the stock counts, the fare taps, and where it hurts.

  • requirements
  • user-flows
  • research

Step 02 · Design

Design the flow before the code

Wireframes and interfaces in Figma, so everyone can see the flow, question it, and agree on it before it becomes code.

  • ui-ux
  • figma
  • prototyping

Step 03 · Build

Build it, test it, make it work

Laravel and React with a solid database underneath, then testing, troubleshooting, and refining until it works for real people.

  • laravel
  • react
  • mysql

Got an idea? Let’s make it work.

A system to simplify, an interface to rethink, or a project to bring to life? Let’s talk.
